Neighbors rally to help town of Geneva family who lost home in fire

TOWN OF GENEVA -- Neighbors are coming to the aid of a town of Geneva family who lost everything when their house was destroyed by fire Sunday.

Tim and Natalie Bauman along with their two sons and dog escaped unharmed.

The boys are in third and fifth grades at Woods School.

Crews were called about 7 p.m. to the home at W3934 Southview Drive north of Highway 50 near Lake Como.

Parents at Woods School have posted links to help on the school website at www.woodsschool.com.

They've also launched a Facebook page with a link on the Woods School website.

According to the Woods School website, organizers are collecting  donations of clothing and gift cards that can be dropped off at the Woods School office.

Requests include:

-- Gift card for restaurants, Kohl's, Wal-Mart, Target, Sentry and Piggly Wiggly.

-- Non-perishable items, such as cases of water.

Clothing sizes:

-- Mens:  Tops L or XL, pants waist 34/36 and length 32, shoes size 11.5. Also socks, underwear, pajamas.

-- Womens: Tops size L or XL, pants size L/XL petite, shoes size 6-6.5. Personal items.

-- Boy, age 10: True to size, pants/tops size 10/12, shoes size 5, personal and athletic items.

-- Boy, age 8: True to size, shoes size 3.
