Mark Gosline won the 200 freestyle to lead Janesville Parker's boys swim team to a fourth-place finish at the College Events Invitational in Stoughton on Saturday.

Division 2 powerhouse McFarland cruised to the team title with 796 points. Beloit Memorial was second with 506, while the Vikings were fourth with 407.

Sam Amundson took second for Parker in the 100 freestyle, while the 400 freestyle relay team of Gosline, Amundson, Austin Wolter and Wyatt Jackson was also second.

“I was impressed with the effort for a midseason meet and the fact that this meet had longer events,” Parker coach Eric Rhodes said. “And Ryan Alexander (third in the 1,000 freestyle) winning a medal was a nice surprise.”
