UW-Whitewater women pull away in second half
Kaitlyn Thill was the difference-maker Saturday afteroon for UW-Whitewater’s women’s basketball team.
The point guard had 19 points and seven steals to lead Whitewater to a 73-62 WIAC win over UW-River Falls.
Whitewater (9-3, 3-0) led by three at half but went on a 12-3 run to start the second half to pull away.
Abbie Reeves and Amy Mandrell added 10 points each for the Warhawks.
Richell Mehus had a game-high 25 points for River Falls (3-9, 2-2).
