Paul S. Bredeson, age 46, a longtime resident of Janesville, passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at St. Mary's Janesville Hospital. He was born June 12, 1967, in Eau Claire, WI, the son of Harold G. and Judith P. (Myszka) Bredeson. He was a graduate of Altoona High School, Class of 1985. Paul was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. On Dec. 16, 1988, he married the former Kimberly J. Ridener in Chaska, MN. Paul worked as an Auto Technician for Anderson Toyota Co., Rockford, IL, until the time of his passing. He had attended Blackhawk Technical College, and received his Associate's Degree in Airframe & Powerplant Maintenance.

His pride and love for his girls was his strength in life. Paul was a trusting person by nature and always saw the good in everyone. He was a true inspiration and role model to his family and friends throughout life and as he faced his health issues. He brought so much joy to all who knew him. He loved working with his hands, always working on some project whether his own or helping friends. He was a voracious reader and a published writer! He enjoyed the Badgers, Packers, and NASCAR. He embraced every moment and had a real zest for life.

Paul is survived by his wife with whom he just celebrated 25 years of marriage, Kim; his two daughters, Nicole Bredeson (Joshua Walhovd) and Chelsea Bredeson, both of Janesville; his mother, Judith Bredeson of Altoona, WI; his two sisters, Renee Smith and Michelle Cunningham, both of DeSoto, TX; and by his extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Bredeson in 1988; and his beloved Black Lab, Clifford.

Memorial Services to celebrate Paul's life will take place at

7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, with Rev. Jerry Amstutz officiating. Military Rites by the V.F.W. Kienow-Hilt Post 1621 will immediately follow the service. Friends may call on Friday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul's name would be appreciated to the Rock County Humane Society, 222 S. Arch St., Janesville, WI 53548.
