Kathryn R. “Kaye” McCann, age 82, of Janesville, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home, Janesville. She was born in Madison on Feb. 28, 1931, the daughter of Edward C. and Diana M. (Schneider) Coleman and was a 1948 graduate of Whitewater City High School. Kaye married Frederick McCann on May 15, 1951, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Whitewater. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and its Altar Society, VFW Post 1621 Auxiliary, and the Rock County Shamrock Club.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; 7 children: Donald (Stacey) McCann, Janice McCann, Amy (Barry) McCann-Badertscher, Julie (Eric) Garvin all of Janesville, Karen (Steven) Janssen of Grafton, Ann McCann (Kurt Rozek) of Portland, OR, and Theresa McCann (John Speake) of Grenada, West Indies; son-in-law, David Reisenauer of Sandpoint, ID; 5 granddaughters; 8 grandsons; 2 sisters, Rosemary (Marv) Gjertson of Fort Atkinson and Carol (Norm) Haughness of Techatchapi, CA; 3 brothers: James (Katie) Coleman, Michael (Kay) Coleman, and Richard Coleman all of Lima Center; 3 sisters-in-law: Virginia Jansen of Cherry Valley, IL, Lois Coleman of Janesville, and Bonnie Coleman of Whitewater; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Reisenauer; 2 sisters, JoAnn Jansen and Frances Coleman; and 3 brothers: Donald, John, and Patrick Coleman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at ST. JOHN VIANNEY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at ST. JOHN VIANNEY CATHOLIC CHURCH.
