Beloit man arrested on fourth drunken-driving charge
TOWN OF BELOIT—Jacob R. Bauman was being held at the Rock County Jail after being arrested on a charge of fourth-offense drunken driving Sunday night.
According to a Rock County Sheriff's Office news release, deputies stopped Bauman's vehicle for speeding at 8:55 p.m. Sunday at Afton and Beloit Newark Road in the town of Beloit.
The deputy noticed signs of intoxication and could smell intoxicants coming from Bauman, 31, Beloit. Bauman refused to take a field sobriety test but was arrested based on the deputy's observations, according to the news release.
Bauman also was cited for driving after license revocation and speeding.
