Eugene P. "Pat" Davies, age 88, a longtime Janesville resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Huntington Memory Care. He was born October 4, 1925 in Prairie du Chien, WI, the son of the late John & Martha (Boldt) Davies. Pat was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving his country during World War II. Pat was stationed in Australia and manned an LCI (Landing Craft Infantry), shuttling soldiers in and out of action.

After his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, he worked at Oscar Mayer Co. in Prairie du Chien. On May 23, 1946 he married the former Dolores E. Cahalan in Iowa. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2011. Pat built 2 homes in Prairie du Chien for his family before moving to Janesville in 1951. He was employed for over 35 years as a Repairman for General Motors Corp. until his retirement in 1986. Pat built their home for his family in 1957, and he has resided there until his health forced his brief move to Huntington Place. Pat had been a longtime member of the V.F.W Kienow-Hilt Post 1621, and was a member of the U.A.W. Local 95.

He is survived by his 2 children, Patrick (Julie) Davies, of Janesville, and Susan (Rick Anderson) Lubeck, of Tucson, AZ, his 4 grandchildren, Andy and Lisa Lubeck, John (Diane Smith) Davies, and Kelly (Jason) Wescott, his 5 great-grandchildren, Dalton Lubeck, Meghan, Joey, and Alex Wescott, and Adam Davies, nieces, nephews, and friends, including a special niece, Marilyn Morgan, and by a special cousin, Gertie Henderson. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his 5 siblings, Jack Davies, Vernon Davies, Marge Percivel, Bea Saylor, and Genevieve Mueller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES with Rev. Jerry Amstutz officiating. Burial with full military rites will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, Dec. 30, from 10:30 until 11:30 A.M. at the FUNERAL HOME.
