Paul W. Sanderson, 85 of Edgerton, passed away on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at St Mary's Hospital, Janesville. He was born on June 30, 1928, in Cuba City, WI, son of the late George and Leone (Hartlip) Sanderson. He was united in marriage on Nov. 7, 1953, to Kathleen Dutton, in Sparta; she preceded him in death on July 17, 1978. He, then, married Angie Dwyer on March 30, 1985, at St Joseph Catholic Church, Edgerton. She preceded him in death on Aug. 1, 2013. He was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church, Edgerton.

Paul owned and operated the IGA store in Edgerton, for many years until his retirement. He had also worked at Kroger Foods for over 26 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, the outdoors, collecting cars and his hobby farm with all his animals. He was a member of the Edgerton Lions and Rotary Clubs, and a 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus. Paul also started and ran the St Vincent DePaul thrift shop and volunteered for meals on wheels; but his special love was spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.

Paul is survived by three daughters: Kathy Sanderson of Janesville, Jean (Frank) Sanderson-Shue of Rochester, MN, and Nancy Sanderson of Janesville; two sons, Thomas (Cinda) Sanderson of Evansville, IN, and Tim (Janet) Sanderson of Janesville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Martin of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Bentz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at ST JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, Edgerton, with Father David Timmerman officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, Dec., 19, 2013, at the EHELRT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, US HWY 51 N, Edgerton, from 3 until 6 p.m. and at the CHURCH on Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A prayer service will be held at the FUNERAL HOME on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. In Lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Support Center of Rock County, Inc.
