Dennis E. Quinn, Sr., 66, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, in Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, Bozeman, MT. He was born Jan. 25, 1947, in Beloit, WI, the son of Clifton “Tip” and Rose (Hamblin) Quinn. Dennis was a 1966 graduate of Beloit Catholic High School. He started his working career at the Little Bungalow. After serving with the U.S. Navy during Vietnam with the Flagship USS Estes, he returned to Beloit working in his families business, Quinn’s 615. Dennis married Georgia A. Watson on Jan. 24, 1970, in St. Jude Catholic Church. Dennis was formerly employed by the Holiday Inn, owner and operator of Rocky’s Pub and Deli, and The Landing. He was also employed by Hesser Toyota, Rock County Buick, Finnegan’s RV and was currently the owner and operator of Bump N Run. He was a member of Fishing Has No Boundaries and Krueger Haskell Men’s Club. Dennis was a former member of Star Zenith Boat Club, Blue Line Club and Rock River First.
Dennis was very proud of his children and their accomplishments. He was an avid golfer, huge supporter of hockey, loved floating on the Rock River, cooking out on the Sand Bar and visiting Montana. Dennis also had a great memory and was a fantastic storyteller.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Quinn of Beloit, WI; five children: Kathy Olson of Beloit, Erin (Kyle) Mock of Bozeman, MT, Ryan (Eurydice Smith) Quinn of Beloit, Matthew Quinn of Bozeman, MT, and Dennis (fiancée, Mary Messman) Quinn, Jr. of Beloit; grandchildren: Brittany and Brian Ford, Brooklyn Olson, Madigan and Leo Mock, Aryanna Quinn, Ryan Quinn, Jr., Daniel Quinn and Carter Quinn; great-grandchildren: Kaleh, Jayden, and Kylee Ford. He was predeceased by his parents; special uncle and aunt, Frank and Bernadine Quinn.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2222 Shopiere Road, Beloit, WI, with the Very Reverend Paul Ugo Arinze officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Visitation will also be from 10 until 11:15 a.m. Saturday at the CHURCH.
A memorial will be established in Dennis’s name at a later date.
