JANESVILLE—After an argument on Facebook between coworkers, one ended up with a gun pointed at him and the other arrested, according to Janesville police.

James L. Gunn, 32, of 369 Wilson St., Janesville, was arrested at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Janesville Police Department on a charge of disorderly conduct while armed after pointing an unloaded gun at a 32-year-old Janesville man, said Lt. Terry Sheridan.

The men work together at a local catering company, he said.

“This is totally an argument all on Facebook that caused it,” Sheridan said.

When the social network argument escalated, the Janesville man invited Gunn to his home to fight. When Gunn arrived, the Janesville man answered the door and Gunn pointed a handgun at him. The Janesville man slammed the door and called police, Sheridan said.

Gunn left and later went to the police department because he heard police were looking for him, Sheridan said.

“He had a gun in his possession that was unloaded,” he said.

Gunn was released with a court date, Sheridan said.
