Edward N. Beringer, Jr., 92, of Delavan, WI, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Willowfield Nursing Home, Delavan, WI. He was born April 11, 1921, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Edward N. and Marie (Zahnan) Beringer, Sr. He attended the University of Indiana and then was called into the US Army during World War II. He was united in marriage to the former Dolores Agnes Blease on June 5, 1948, in Chicago, IL. Ed worked as a motor room technician at Sta-rite Pumps of Delavan, for over 25 years, retiring in 1983. After retiring, Ed and Dolores lived in Texas. There he volunteered at the bird rescue, he loved to fish and help organize charter fishing trips, he enjoyed ceramics and growing Orchids. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, American Legion of Delavan, and was a former Boy Scout leader in Fontana.

Edward is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dolores; two children, Edward N. (Lori) Beringer, III of West Allis, WI, and Denise (Gregory) Wojcik of Elkhorn, WI; one granddaughter, Melissa M. (Joseph) Lee of Elkhorn; two great-grandsons, Joseph O. and Brandon G. Lee; one brother, Richard (Delores) Beringer of Woodstock, IL; one sister, Patricia Beringer of Walworth, WI; and one sister-in-law, Elaine Beringer of Crystal Lake, IL. Edward was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Beringer; and one brother, Lawrence Beringer.
