Raymond H. Van Natta, age 74 of Monroe, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Azura Memory Care, Monroe. Raymond was born Nov. 12, 1939, in Lancaster, WI, the son of LaVern and Alice (Louthaine) Van Natta. He graduated from Lancaster High School and served in the Wisconsin National Guard for 16 years. Ray moved to Colorado, where he worked as a hunting guide from 1978 until moving to Monroe, in 2006. He loved the great outdoors of Colorado, and Wyoming, rebuilding cars, hunting, and fishing. He and several family members built a log cabin in which he lived for several years.

Ray is survived by a son, Rick (Sue) Van Natta of Lancaster; two daughters, Terri Dampier and fiance Jerry Dahlen of Monroe, and Tamara (Terry) Huttenlocher of Warren, IL; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Mary) Van Natta of Westby, WI; and two sisters, June (Edward) Knutson of Lancaster, and Darlene (Lynn) Carpenter of Platteville; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Raymond Van Natta, Jr. in 1994.

Services were held at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe.
