Schiefelbein served as deputy, Walworth County Board supervisor

ELKHORN -- Friends and family will gather today in Elkhorn at the funeral of Walworth County Board Supervisor Tim Schiefelbein, who died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2014 at the age of 55.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 104 S. Broad Street, Elkhorn with Rev. Thomas DeGroot officiating. Schiefelbein will be buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Janesville.

Schiefelbein, 55, was at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee when he died.

He represented Elkhorn and portions of Sugar Creek Township on the Walworth County Board.

Before running for a seat on the county board, Schiefelbein served for 29  years as a deputy with the Walworth County Sheriff's Office, serving as a lieutenant of the drug unit, a detective and working in the central office.

He retired as captain due to ill health, according to his obituary.

He was a member of the Walworth County Dive Team as well as the pistol league and was very active with the martial arts where he was considered a master and held a fourth degree black belt, according to his obituary.

Schiefelbein was involved with Walworth County Alliance for Children,The Children's Home of their Own and olunteered at VIP Services.

Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 104 S. Broad Street, Elkhorn, WI, with Rev. Thomas DeGroot officiating.
