Frank X. Allweil, 80, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. Frank was born on Aug. 31, 1933, to the late Martin and Amalie (Herzog) Allweil in Germany. After high school, Frank married Annemarie Schoen on Sept. 11, 1954, in Germany. In 1959, he would move to Chicago. He worked as a shoe repairer when he was younger and then drove a semi-truck until retirement. He was a member of the Schiller Park Brothers Singing Group and loved to sing his entire life. He loved to dance and was always a devoted Christian of the New Apostolic faith. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and was a known tinkerer.

Frank is survived by his children, Renate (Robert) Nietzold of Milton, WI, and Reinhold (Penny) Allweil of Brevard, NC; nine grandchildren: Melissa (Brian) Corrado of IL, Christopher Nietzold of IL, Robert (Sarah) Nietzold of GA, Shawn (Jennifer) Carter of LA, David Nietzold of IL, Krystal Allweil of NC, Benjamin (Brittany) Allweil of NC, Brandon Allweil of NC and Bradley Allweil of NC; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annemarie Allweil; and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at the ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, MILTON. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the start of the services.
