Soo ends Jets' winning streak
The second period was a disaster for the Janesville Jets on Friday night.
The Soo Eagles scored three times in the second to open a three-goal lead and hung on for 4-3 win in an NAHL North Division game at the Janesville Ice Arena.
Janesville, which had won three straight, got within a goal in the third thanks to goals from Drew Callin and Jordan Himley but could not get the game-tying goal with an extra attacker on the ice late.
Brock Kautz took the loss in net and was lifted after the second period. Logan Halladay was in goal for Janesville in period three and stopped all 14 shots he faced.
The teams wrap up the two-game series tonight.
