RVC roundup: Edgerton hands East Troy first loss since '09

Five players scored in double figures and Edgerton handed East Troy a rare Rock Valley North Conference loss, 66-57, on Tuesday night.

The Trojans had won 62 consecutive RVC games, with their last defeat coming in a 77-74 loss to Clinton on Dec. 17, 2009. In their sixth season in the league, they are 79-3.

Adam Converse scored 14 points and Brooks Johnson added 13 for the Crimson Tide. Edgerton’s 20-11 second quarter gave it a six-point halftime lead.

Matt Kaminski paced East Troy with 18 points.

After just two games, Edgerton is the lone remaining unbeaten in the Rock North.

Jefferson 49, Whitewater 40—Vinny Cincotta scored 18 points and the Eagles pulled away for a Rock Valley North road victory.

Jefferson outscored Whitewater 15-4 in the fourth quarter and 9-0 down the stretch.

Samuel Fuller led the Whippets with 14 points thanks in part to three 3-pointers.

Both teams are now 1-1.

Parkview 56, Big Foot 49—Parkview jumped to a 9-2 lead en route to a win at Walworth.

Garrett Reinhardt, a 6-foot-6 senior, dominated in the post and finished with a game-high 25 points for the Vikings (1-1 in the conference and 1-3 overall).

Alex Landers and Zak Greco each had 10 for the Chiefs (0-1, 0-2).
