Donald Earl Winter, 89, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at the Edgerton Care Center. He was born on Oct. 24, 1924, in Morris, MN, the son of the late Richard and Margaret (Butt) Winter. He was united in marriage to Donna Gades on Oct. 24, 1948, in Morris, MN, she preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 1981. He married Harriet Boles on, Jan. 15, 1983, in Janesville, she preceded him in death on, June 23, 2002. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Edgerton. Don worked at General Motors for many years until his retirement. He liked camping and volunteered doing maintenance on the Janesville Little League Baseball fields for many years and was a member of the Janesville Masonic Lodge. Don served in the United States Army, during the Korean War, were he also boxed. He was an usher at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Don is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Don Gross) Winter-Anderson of Beaver Dam, and Dixie (Kenny) Johnson of Janesville; four sons: LuVern Winter of Adams, WI, Steve Boles and Dave Boles, both of Janesville, and Clayton (Dawn) Winter of Johnson Creek; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Glenda; and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at the EHLERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, US HWY 51 S, Edgerton, with Rev. Karla J. Brekke officiating. Burial will be in the Fassett Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 3, from   10 a.m. until the time of the service.
