Russell "Pop's" Heritage, 77, of Edgerton, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at his home, with his loving family by his side. He was born on Aug. 6, 1936, in Evansville, son of the late Russell and Florence (Benash) Heritage, Sr. Russell was united in marriage on Aug. 6, 1954, to Lois Johnson at the United Methodist Church in Edgerton. She preceded him in death on Dec. 9, 2009. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Edgerton. Russell owned his own painting business in the Edgerton area, for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, working on his truck, the blue goose, visiting and working at Elm Drive, playing softball and playing video gambling games. His special love was spending time with his family and friends.

Russell is survived by two daughters, Sue (David) Griffin and Jane (John) Dohner; one son, Don (Linda Monaghan) Heritage, all of Edgerton; six grandchildren: Trevor, Trent, Teryn, Ryan (Sara), Matt and Nate; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Jake; one sister, Elaine (Tony) Greene, of Victorville, CA; one brother, Robert (Elaine) Heritage of AZ; and one sister-in-law, Carol (Leo) Wehrstedt of Thunder Bay, Canada. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mert Hagen; and one brother, Fran Heritage.

A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at the UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Edgerton, with Rev. Barb Wells officiating. Burial will be in the Rock River Cemetery. A gathering and celebration of Russell's life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at the CHURCH from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

In Lieu of other expressions of sympathy, Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Edgerton, or Agrace HospiceCare Inc, in Russell's name. The EHLERT FUNERAL HOME CREMATION SERVICES, of Edgerton, is assisting the family. Condolences may be expressed at ehlertfuneralhome.com
