UPDATE: Missing man with Alzheimer's found

EDGERTON—The missing man with Alzheimer’s last seen after dropping his spouse off at a grocery store in Edgerton has been found, according to a  spokeswoman at the Rock County Communications Center.

“They found him, he’s fine and Edgerton police will issue a news release later,” she said.

According to a news release, Francis Janitch of Edgerton was last seen at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in a black Chrysler Concorde car in the parking lot of Piggly Wiggly, 1211 N. Main St., Edgerton. Janitch dropped off his wife at the store and at some point left in the car.

Edgerton police describe Janitch as a white male about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and about 180 pounds. He has white hair and blue eyes. Police did not give his age, but said he has Alzheimer's disease.

Edgerton police had asked anyone who sees Janitch or his vehicle to call police at 911 or 608-755-2244.
