MaryAnn Loasching, age 78, of Janesville, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Janesville, on Jan. 5, 1935, the daughter of Charles and Marian (Volbrecht) Press. MaryAnn married Wayne H. “Buck” Loasching on Jan. 15, 1955, in Janesville. He preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1999. She was employed by Jupiter and, later, K-Mart for many years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed spending time at the cabin up north and her occasional visits to the casinos.
MaryAnn is survived by her four children: David Loasching of North Fort Meyers, FL, Kim (Mark) Nightingale of Janesville, Jim (Diane) Loasching of Liberty, MO, and Sally (Jeff) Palmer of Milton; eight grandchildren: Brian Loasching, Julie (Mark) Jenson, Bradley Loasching, Todd Smith, Michelle Muth, Matthew (friend, Jasmine) Smith, Steve (Pam) Nightingale, and Lisa (fiance`, Jon) Nightingale; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Bill (Elaine) Press, Jim (Betsy) Press, Charlene (Bob) Hefty, and Linda (Jeff) Weis, all of Janesville; brother-in-law, Vernon Loasching; as well as a special friend with whom she spent winters in Florida, Walt Pfeiffer of Janesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Ricky Press; and brother-in-law, Ed Loasching.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY with Rev. Jerry Amstutz officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY.
