Arleen M. (Halaska) Dingeldein of Bensenville, IL, formerly of Janesville, died on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, IL. Arleen graduated from Aquinas High School in LaCrosse, WI, in 1944. She married James W. Dingeldein on July 17, 1948. She was a devoted member of St. Alexis Parish in Bensenville, a member of the Council of Catholic Women and was Woman of the Year in 1984. She was active in many of the church functions and a volunteer for the Dupage County Board of Elections.

Arleen was the beloved wife of the late James W. Dingeldein; loving mother of: James R., John W., Kathleen A. Hintz, Janet A. (Brad) Campbell, Joseph E. (Mary), Mary E. (Paul) Balbach, Jeorge M. (Joy) and Arlene M. (Dale) Baker; the proud grandmother of ten; great-grandmother of five; and dear sister of four. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at 9:15 a.m. from GEILS FUNERAL HOME, 180 S. York Rd., Bensenville, IL, to ST. ALEXIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 400 W. Wood St., Bensenville, for Mass at 9:45 a.m. Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 22, from 3 until 8 p.m. at the FUNERAL HOME. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Chapel, 1827 N. Washington St., Janesville, WI, Saturday at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, masses to St. Alexis Church; donations to Alexian Brothers Hospice, 901 Martha St., Elk Grove Village, IL, or your local Hospice would be appreciated.
