Rosemary B. Knoll, Milton, WI (1931-2013)

Rosemary B. Knoll, 82, Milton, entered into eternal rest Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Rock Haven Nursing Home, Janesville, WI. Rosemary was born Aug. 11, 1931, in Toluca, IL, to Everett and Lucille (Blazina) Boston. She graduated from El Paso Township High School and married Clifford L. Knoll July 9, 1949. In 1952, they moved to East Troy, WI, where they started their farming career. Later they moved to Cambridge, WI, to continue farming and finally settled in the Milton area in 1963. In addition to being a farm wife, Rosemary was a CNA for 30 years. She worked at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital and the Golden Living Center in Fort Atkinson. She volunteered many hours of service as a 4-H leader in Jefferson and Rock Counties. Rosemary became a ceramics instructor working with her mother in their business, Boston Ceramics. Rosemary had many hobbies but the one she loved most was her quilting. She was a founder and lifetime member of Rock Valley Quilters Guild and taught many her craft. Rosemary and Clifford owned and operated Spanferkel Express, a whole hog spit roasting business serving Southern WI, and Northern IL, for 31 years.
Rosemary is survived by her children: daughters: Denice (Dave) Nelson of Milton, Debbie Knoll (Dan Brellenthin) of Elkhorn, Sandy Bingham (Dan Collins) of Janesville, and Linda Kania (Audrey Werning) of Sullivan; sons, Roger (Brenda) and Mike (Lori), both of Milton; grandchildren: Lisa and Carrie Bingham, Alex, Stephen, Olivia and Julie Brellenthin, Lauren, Sarah and Ryan Nelson and Austin Knoll; her sisters: Laurel Berninzoni of Denver, CO, and Nancy (Lennie) Rusch of Janesville; sisters-in-law, Mary K. Boston and Mary M. Boston, both of Milton. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mrs. Knoll was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Everett and Francis; and son-in-law, Dan Bingham.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH with Father David Timmerman officiating. Visitation times will be Wednesday from 4 until 6 p.m. at the ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, Milton and from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the CHURCH.
