Creative entrepreneurial workshop set

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's College of Arts and Communication is hosting Creative Entrepreneurship Toolkit Workshop on Friday, Nov. 22 from 1-4:30 p.m.  at the Whitewater University Innovation Center. 

The workshop is designed to provide creative entrepreneurs with information and resources that will help them to start and grow their business.  It is planned as a hands-on, interactive event that will provide participants with ideas and resources. 
The facilitator will be Christine Harris, CEO of Christine Harris Connections.

A panel of creative experts includes Terrance Coffman, artist, author, musician/songwriter; Dan McGuire, professor of sculpture at UW-Whitewater and entrepreneur-in-residence at the Whitewater Innovation Center;  Ellen Waldmer, owner of Rock River Gallery & Coffee House; Roy Elkins, founder and CEO of Broadjam Inc.;  and Nella Citino, a media veteran with over 20 years of experience in the video and broadcast industries.
Harris and the panelists will discuss what creative enterprise is and the role it is playing in today's economy.  They will also explore the motivation behind starting a creative enterprise and other practical topics including legal and organizational structures, funding options and available resources.  Panelists will also share the challenges and opportunities of running and working with a creative enterprise.
