Elizabeth May Cole, age 92, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Skaalen Nursing Home, Stoughton, WI, after a brief illness. Elizabeth was born on May 9, 1921, in Milton, WI, to William and Alice (Miller) Balch. She graduated from Evansville High School in 1940. She married Harry Albert Cole on Sept. 1, 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1986. A life long resident of Evansville, Elizabeth was active in the retired Senior Volunteer Program for over twenty-five years. She participated in the Senior Meal Program for many years and was grateful for the many volunteer drivers of the van which provides rides to the meal site, appointments and grocery shopping.

Elizabeth is survived by three children: Terry, Melody and Mike; their spouses; six grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at the WARD-HURTLEY FUNERAL HOME, 130 South 5th Street, Evansville, with Reverend Dr. Luke Bocher, Congregational United Church of Christ, Evansville, officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Evansville. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at the FUNERAL HOME.
