David Lowry Grundahl, age 58, passed away at his home from complications following a brain injury. David was born Aug. 9, 1955, to Amos and Isabel Grundahl in Janesville, WI. He was baptized and confirmed into Christian faith at First Lutheran Church in Janesville, WI. He received his early education from Parker High School, graduating in 1973, and, later, enrolled at the University of Wisconsin, attaining his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1977. He served as a buyer for Blain Farm and Fleet for twelve years in Janesville, before moving to Council Bluffs, in 1992, to work for SMV Industries, where he has worked since as their general manager.

Survivors include his brother, Mark of Whitewater, WI; his sister, Nordis (Andrew) Olson of Windom, MN; a niece, Gudrun (Jon) Wolfgram and their children, Arik and Audin; a nephew, Lars Olson; nieces: Sonja Olson and fiancé Dave Montgomery, Hanna Olson, and Sarah Grundahl. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation and a Memorial Service were held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at CUTLER-O'NEILL-MEYER-WOODRING BAYLISS PARK CHAPEL in Council Bluffs, IA. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. at PERRY LUTHERAN CHURCH CEMETERY, Daleyville WI, with Pastor Sara Gillespie, officiating. Luncheon and fellowship will follow at Perry Lutheran Church. All are invited to meet at Perry Lutheran Church Cemetery.
