Prep volleyball: Brodhead, Big Foot, East Troy advance

Carly Mohns had 21 kills and Rachel Heller added 22 digs to lead the Brodhead volleyball team to a four-set victory over Laconia to capture a Division 3 regional title on Saturday night.

Brodhead won 25-18, 25-21, 19-25, 25-15 to improve to 29-5 this season. The No. 2-seeded Cardinals will play at No. 4-seeded Markesan, which upset Waterloo.

Heller also had nine kills and Payten Wright dished out 25 assists.

• Big Foot 3, Jefferson 0—The Chiefs dominated their serves to roll past Jefferson, 25-11, 25-14, 25-9 on Saturday night.

Senior captains Amy Schryver and Mackenzie Long each had seven service aces. Schryver also added a team-high 16 kills and two blocks, while Long had 15 digs.

Mikaela Grant had six kills and two aces for Jefferson, which finished the season with a 19-17 record.

Big Foot improved to 37-6 and will face McFarland in a sectional semifinal at Whitewater High on Thursday.
