Janesville Jets fall to Minnesota Wilderness
CLOQUET, Minn.—Through two periods Friday night, the Minnesota Wilderness peppered Janesville Jets goaltender Brock Kautz with 30 shots to the Jets’ 13 in the game’s first 40 minutes. Three found the back of the net in the second period for Minnesota, and the Wilderness won 3-1 in the first of back-to-back games between the teams.
Minnesota struck first at the 17:26 mark of the period through Billy Exell. Drew Callin responded about a minute later for the Jets, assisted by Michael Louria and Mike Sullivan.
With 9:33 remaining in the second, Thomas Lindstrom scored on a penalty shot to make it 2-1. Lindstrom would add a second to seal the game. The loss drops Janesville to 5-6-1.
