Sheriff's office arrests four in warrant sweep

JANESVILLE—Four people were arrested Wednesday by Rock County sheriff's deputies, who were taking part in a national sweep seeking to arrest those with active warrants for domestic violence, according to a news release.

The sheriff's office was seeking to clear 69 warrants for issues such as missed court appearances and failing to pay child support, according to the release.

Four people were arrested and five warrants were cleared, the sheriff's office said.

The sweep was part of the National Family Violence Apprehension Detail, and involved efforts from state and federal authorities, according to the release.
