Middleton scored three goals in a span of less than 10 minutes late in the first half on Tuesday night to put an end to Janesville Craig's boys soccer season, winning 4-1 in a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal match.

Jack Hagstrom scored back-to-back first-half goals for the Cardinals.

“We played right with them for about 25 minutes, but let in a couple goals in short succession,” Craig coach Mike Hook said. “I was very proud of the second-half display, and quite frankly proud of 60 minutes of the 80. I think these guys left behind a pretty good bar for the program for the years to come.”

Nick Harwick scored a second-half goal for the Cougars off an assist from Ian Reinicke.

Craig closed out the year with an 8-10 record.
