JANESVILLE—Students at six Rock County high schools will have the chance to win a car if they spend the school year practicing safe driving habits, according to a news release.

Teen road safety campaign Operation Click, a non-profit organization with chapters in Walworth County and Chicago-area high schools, is starting a new chapter in Rock County, authorities said.

Janesville Craig, Janesville Parker, Milton, Parkview, Edgerton and Evansville high schools are participating in the program, which will officially kick off Monday, according to the release.

Students sign contracts pledging they won't drive intoxicated, won't get in a car with an intoxicated driver, will wear their seat belts and won't get tickets for moving violations, Rock County Sheriff's Office Capt. Jude Maurer said.

If students honor the contract, they are eligible to win awards, including the program's grand prize of a car, according to the release.
