UW-Rock soccer wins, volleyball falls
Janesville Craig graduate Will Montejano assisted on two first-half goals and scored another in the second half to lead the UW-Rock County co-ed soccer team past UW-Richland County, 6-0.
Rock County had several more scoring opportunities in the first half but could only put two into the back of the net. Another Craig grad, Tyler Meinders, assisted a Nady Banker goal in the 73rd minute.
Morgan Sutich beat two defenders and the Richland County goalkeeper to cap the scoring in the 90th minute. The goal made 2013 the third year in a row in which a female scored for Rock County in the co-ed league.
The win concludes the regular season with the playoffs to start Saturday against either UW-Baraboo/Sauk County or UW-Washington County.
