Brett Harms finished second at the Chocolate City Invitational to highlight area cross country runners competing Saturday.

Harms, a Whitewater High senior, finished the 5,000-meter course in 15:56.86 to finish second behind Junior Quintero (15:52.06) of Arts-Carmen.

Sarah Ziolkowski of Whitewater finished third in the girls 4,000-meter race.

Janesville Parker's boys and girls teams both competed at the Stoughton Invitational. The Viking boys finished 11th, while the girls were 13th.

Keegan McCluskey finished eighth to pace Parker runners.

“There were four teams in the top 10 in the state competing here today, so I thought our boys had a pretty good day,” Parker coach Dan Bouska said. “Keegan continues to have a real strong season for us.”
