Your Thanks: United Way appreciates Day of Caring response
The United Way advances the common good through community members with the passion, expertise and resources to get things done. United Way Blackhawk Region would like to thank the more than 400 volunteers who shared their time and skills during United Way’s recent Day of Caring.
These caring people volunteered at more than 50 projects for 30 nonprofit agencies. United Way also thanks the more than 25 local businesses that allowed their employees opportunities to give back to the community in this special way. Thanks also goes to the Day of Caring sponsors: ABC Supply, Beloit Health System, Blackhawk Bank, BMO Harris Bank, Culver’s of Beloit, Dean Health System, Ecolab, Fairbanks-Morse, First American Credit Union, First National Bank and Trust, Frito Lay, Johnson Bank and Johnson Insurance, Kerry Ingredients and Flavours, Mercy Health System, Metso, Mid-States Concrete Industries, Paperchine, Pelsue Orthodontics, Regal Beloit and Taylor United Technologies.

During a campaign kickoff breakfast prior to the Day of Caring, the United Way Blackhawk Region revealed a goal of $2.8 million for the 2013 campaign. With the kind of passion expressed by the Day of Caring volunteers, the United Way is confident this goal will be reached.
Be a part of changing lives in your community. Give, advocate, volunteer. That’s what it means to “Live United.”
Thank you for caring,
