VILLAGE OF BROOKLYN—A man and woman were hospitalized Saturday after a vehicle chase that ended in a crash, the Green County Sheriff's Office reported.

Joseph Carow, 23, Albany, fled police shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday  when police responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Psalms Way Road in the town of Albany, according to a Green County Sheriff's report.

Carow resurfaced at the same location about 8:45 p.m., and took off in a stolen vehicle north of Evansville, according to the Green County Sheriff's report. Carow then apparently led Green County sheriff's deputies in a chase that ended when deputies blew out one of the tires on Carow's vehicle by using a stop stick, according to the report.

Carow's vehicle careened off the road at Highway 104 near Amiden Road and West Evansville-Brooklyn Road and clipped a utility pole. He and an unidentified female passenger were injured in the crash and transported to area hospitals, according to the report.

Carow, who was still at an area hospital Sunday with undisclosed injuries, was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated, causing an injury while intoxicated, reckless endangerment, fleeing police and disorderly conduct, according to the report. Additional charges are pending, police said.
