JANESVILLE—Janesville police lauded area stores on Monday after a round of checks found no one sold alcohol to underage buyers, according to a news release.

Police and representatives from Janesville Mobilizing for Change did compliance checks at 19 stores that sell alcohol last week, authorities said.

All of the stores passed and police found no violations, according to the release.

Authorities thanked businesses for their diligence, saying in the release their dedication to checking the ages of customers who buy alcohol helps keep it away from people under 21.
