The Janesville Parker girls golf team picked a poor day to have an off round.

The Vikings lost to both Verona and Madison Memorial, while defeating Sun Prairie, in a Big Eight Conference quadrangular at the Sun Prairie Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.

The Vikings finished the Big Eight season 6-3.

“We weren’t running on all cylinders,” Parker coach Mary Ross said. “Sometimes you have those type of matches and it happened to crop up tonight.”

Kailey McDade led the Vikings with a 41. Micayla Richards added a 42.

“Kailey is an up-and-coming player,” Ross said. “She’s a very strong competitor. She’s getting close to breaking the 80 mark.

“Micayla has been Miss Consistent for us,” Ross added. “She’s a great leader.”

The Vikings will be off until the Big Eight Conference Meet at Evansville Country Club on Thursday, Sept. 26.
