Janesville police search for Walgreens robber

JANESVILLE—Janesville police were seeking the public's help after an armed robbery early Tuesday morning at Walgreens, 1717 Milton Ave.

Anyone with information can call the police department at 608-755-3100.

The robber entered the store at 5:35 a.m. and demanded prescription medication from the pharmacy while displaying what appeared to be the butt end of a long gun tucked into his pants, according to a department news release.

The robber, described as between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall with a stocky build was wearing a camouflage bandanna over his face, a tan jacket, green hooded sweatshirt, blue pants and dark shoes.

When the robber fled the scene, he ran west with an undetermined amount of medication. He was carrying a dark-colored duffel bag.

Nobody was injured during the incident, according to the release.
