KENOSHA — A specialty lighting manufacturer from Illinois plans to break ground by the end of the year for a new headquarters and manufacturing plant in southern Wisconsin.

A financial incentive package from state and local officials hasn't been finalized yet, but Kenall Manufacturing CEO Jim Hawkins says he's confident the agreements will be reached.

Gov. Scott Walker was in Kenosha Thursday to announce the relocation. Walker says move will not only benefit the community, but will boost the entire state's economy.

The site just east of Interstate 94 at Highway 58, about 17 miles north of Kenall's current plant.

Kenall makes specialty lighting equipment used in hospitals, schools, prisons and other places. It employs about 400 people.
