BRODHEAD—Ricky Williams did his best impression of the Heisman Trophy-winning running back of the same name on Friday night.

The Edgerton running back carried 26 times for 342 yards, including a 55-yard run with 7:33 remaining in the game, to give the Crimson Tide a 28-20 Rock Valley Conference crossover victory over the Brodhead/Juda Cardinals.

Williams scored three touchdowns on the ground, the others from 69 yards and one yard out.

Brodhead/Juda held a 14-7 lead after the first quarter on a pair of touchdown throws by Brennan Bescup—one of them a 78-yard strike to Jordan Kraak.

But Edgerton scored 14 points of its own in the second quarter and blocked a second-quarter extra point to hold a 21-20 lead at halftime.

Williams’ final burst gave the Tide some cushion.

Edgerton hosts undefeated Whitewater on Friday. Brodhead/Juda travels to Beloit Turner.
