Stingy Lake Geneva Badger defense allows 107 yards in win

LAKE GENEVA—Lake Geneva Badger held Waterford to just 107 yards of total offense as the Badgers opened Southern Lakes Conference play with a 28-6 home victory on Friday night.

Andrew Allen carried the ball 11 times for 76 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Badgers jumped out to a 15-6 lead at halftime and put the game away in the fourth quarter.

Allen's 26-yard scamper put Badger on the baord in the first quarter. Leading 8-6 in the second, Badgers quarterback Collin Broderick ran for a nine-yard touchdown.

The Wolverines averaged just 2.1 yards per carry on 27 rushing attempts.

Badger hosts Burlington on Friday.

•Wilmot 33, Delavan-Darien 24—Delavan-Darien mustered just 236 yards of offense and threw two interceptions—one returned for a touchdown in the second quarter—and fell to visiting Wilmot 33-24.

The Panthers racked up 288 rushing yards in the win, including 132 from Michael Lindeman and 129 from Cameron Loveless.

Comet quarterback Jesse Collins passed for 140 yards and was the team's leading rusher, going for 50 yards and two touchdowns.

•Elkhorn 14, Westosha Central 2—Elks quarterback Arik Anderson had a hand—or a foot—in all of Elkhorn's points as it improved to 2-1 overall in its Southern Lakes debut.

Anderson put the Elks on the board in the first quarter with a 55-yard run and later found Matt Ambelang with a passing score. Anderson kicked both extra points.

Elkhorn hosts Delavan-Darien on Friday.
