Janesville couple face drug charges
JANESVILLE—A Janesville man police said used a child to facilitate drug deliveries was arrested with his wife Tuesday on a variety of drug-related charges.
Jamie L. Jacobson, 32, and Jennifer L. Jacobson, 27, both of 422 Milton Ave., are in the Rock County Jail awaiting an initial court appearance Thursday.
The Janesville Police Department's Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the Milton Avenue residence at 10 p.m., Tuesday. Officers seized heroin, marijuana, prescription medicines and drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from the department.
During the course of the investigation, officers discovered that Jamie Jacobson was using a minor child to facilitate the delivery of heroin, the release said.
Sgt. Aaron Ellis would not release any further details relating to the child.
Jamie Jacobson was arrested on charges of possession of heroin with intent to deliver, delivery of heroin, using a child to distribute drugs, maintaining a drug house, second-offense possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession of prescription drugs without a valid prescription and probation violation.
Jennifer Jacobson was arrested on charges of maintaining a drug house, second-offense possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession of prescription drugs without a valid prescription, possession with intent to deliver a Schedule 4 drug and delivery of a Schedule 4 drug.
