The second week of the high school football slate brings the second helping of Big Eight football, while other teams square off in nonconference action. Several games were delayed Friday by stormy weather moving through the area.

This list will update throughout the evening as final scores roll in. Please check back often.

Big Eight

The host Cardinals jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and coasted to the Big Eight win.

Alex Leahy had 109 yards rushing and two touchdowns to lead Middleton (1-1).

Beloit (0-2) managed only 78 yards of total offense.

• BADGER CROSSOVER: SAUK PRAIRIE 28, MILTON 21

Bailey Breunig scored three touchdowns, two on the ground and one on an 82-yard pass, as Sauk Prairie topped Milton in a Badger crossover game.

Breunig scored the eventual game-winning touchdown on a 1-yard run in the third quarter.

Milton quarterback Tyler Westrick scored a pair of rushing touchdowns.

Jefferson rushed for 306 yards and held off a Marshall rally in a nonconference game at Jefferson on Friday.

Kevin Sanchez intercepted two passes, returning the first one 101 yards for a touchdown, as the Eagles improved to 2-0.

East Troy (1-1) got 125 receiving yards and three touchdowns from Cody Studt.

Braden Mann rushed for 128 yards to lead Elkhorn (1-1).

Chance Browning's 29-yard touchdown pass to Logan Mulcahy with 1:22 left to play lifted the Blue Devils to the nonconference win.

Edgerton (1-1) trailed 21-0 at half but rallied to tie the game on Rickey Williams' 20-yard touchdown run in the fourth. Williams finished with 119 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Ryan Hayes carried 12 times for 129 yards and a pair of touchdowns and threw for 170 yards and two more scores as Belleville scored 21 straight points to come from behind and top the Vikings.

Parkview carried its 21-14 halftime lead through the third quarter, but Belleville scored three times in the final 8:46.

Vikings running back Nick Gumtow finished with 16 carries for 115 yards and one touchdown.

• BRODHEAD/JUDA 35, EVANSVILLE/ALBANY 7

The Brodhead/Juda vs. Evansville/Albany football rivalry resumed Friday night.

The two programs, located 15 miles apart, played the first of four nonconference games scheduled for the next four years.

Round one went the Cardinals way via a knockout.

Derek Turner rushed for 119 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead Brodhead/Juda to a 35-7 win.

The Cardinals led 20-0 at half and allowed the Blue Devils only 171 yards of total offense. Evansville didn't score until the last minute of the game.

Turner's 41-yard touchdown run gave the Cardinals an early 14-0 lead, and Jordan Douglas made it 14-0 in the first quarter on a 27-yard scamper.

Brodhead/Juda (2-0, 0-0) hosts Edgerton (1-1) in a Rock Valley Conference crossover game next Friday. Evansville (1-1) hosts six-time defending Rock Valley South champion Walworth Big Foot in a crossover game.

Scott Gorsuch threw a pair of touchdown passes, including one to Anthony Juomi in the final minute of the game as the Whippets came from behind to earn the victory.

Whitewater trailed 10-0 at halftime, but regrouped behind Gorsuch and a kick return for a touchdown by senior John Saylor.

• MUKWONAGO 9, BADGER 7

The Indians held on for the nonconference win in a battle of state-rated teams.

Badger trailed 9-0 at half but got within two on Steiner Tristan's 5-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

The Badgers finished with only 208 yards of offense.
