The Beloit Snappers continue to play good baseball.

Beloit scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning Thursday night and hung on for a 6-5 Midwest League win over the Burlington Bees at Pohlman Field. The Snappers have now won five of their last six games and will open up postseason play next weekend after winning the first-half title in the Western Division.

Derek De Young (8-5) picked up the win with six solid innings. The righthander allowed only one run and struck out five. Austin House got his ninth save of the season with a scoreless ninth.

Ryan Delgado had three of Beloit's 10 hits.

The Snappers host Burlington tonight in the final regular-season home game of the season.
