Jerry J. Osmolinski, 65, of Belding, Mich., sent sexually explicit messages and pictures to the Janesville girl through an online dating site in the spring of 2012, according to a criminal complaint.

A detective took over the teen's account that May after her mother told Janesville police about the chats, authorities said.

On July 16, 2012, Osmolinski drove from his home in Michigan to a Janesville apartment building to meet the girl for sex, according to the complaint. Michigan State Police and later Janesville police detectives followed him on the drive and arrested Osmolinski when he arrived, authorities said.

Prosecutors charged him with using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and exposing a child to harmful material, court records show.

Osmolinski pleaded guilty to both counts at a hearing Thursday morning.

Judge Kenneth Forbeck ordered a pre-sentence investigation for Osmolinski and scheduled him for a sentencing hearing Nov. 20.
