Snappers' surge continues
BELOIT--With the Midwest League playoffs approaching, it seems as though the Beloit Snappers have regained what they had in the first half of the season when they won their division and clinched a postseason berth.
Shortstop Danny Robertson hit two home runs Sunday in Beloit’s 6-4 win against the Clinton LumberKings. The Snappers have won six of their last seven games coming down the homestretch of the regular season to get back within two games of .500 for the second half.
Starting pitcher Kyle Finnegan made his Snappers debut, allowing two earned runs in five innings of work.
