JANESVILLE—A statewide “License to Dream” tour promoting immigration reform will be in Janesville on Sunday, according to a news release from Voces de la Frontera, a Milwaukee-based social justice and immigrant rights group.

The rally will be held at Riverside Park at 1:30 p.m. and will feature speakers including State Sen. Tim Cullen, D-Janesville, State Rep. Debra Kolste, D-Janesville, State Rep. JoCasta Zamarripa, D-Milwaukee and others.

The rally will highlight what advocates for immigration reform see as the economic benefits of immigration reform and the impact of deportation on families.

Before the event, at 12:30 p.m., a Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, 315 Cherry St., Janesville, where there will be prayers for immigration reform, according to the news release.  The Catholic Church has recently announced that it would join in the push for immigration reform.

Other cities on the tour include Burlington, Fond du Lac, Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire and Racine.
