Cardiff retiring as LGEDC director

Joe Cardiff, executive director of the Lake Geneva Economic Development Corporation (LGEDC), will retire at the end of the year.


Cardiff has held the position since 1992.  Prior to that he had been an officer and LGEDC Board member since the late 1970's.


During the period of Cardiff's participation with LGEDC, the organization has developed the Lake Geneva Business Park, acquired land for a future 100 acre business park, coordinated improvements in the downtown and Wrigley Drive area, provided land and financing for both Veterans and Fermano Parks, and organized the development of the Highway 120 by-pass.
