Milton Raptors advance to championship tournament

MILTON—The Milton Raptors are rolling heading into the Rock River League Grand Championship Tournament.

Milton blasted Madison Laurel Tavern, 10-0 in seven innings on Saturday night, to win the play-in game for postseason tournament that begins next weekend.

The Raptors (14-3-1) got three hits from Jesse Sirianni and two doubles from Josh Shere as part of a 12-hit attack. Milton scored four runs in the first and added three more in the third to go up 7-0.

Sean McCann pitched the first six innings for the win. The right-hander struck out five and allowed only three hits.

Milton plays at Neosho to open the double-elimination tournament on Saturday, followed by a home game with Watertown on Sunday.
