Rock County set to test sirens Aug. 7
Rock County tests the Outdoor Warning System from April to October every year.
The next test will be at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7. The test signal will be one or two minutes long.
A steady tone lasting three to five minutes is the "take cover" signal that a tornado warning has been issued for Rock County and that residents should immediately take shelter.
If residents find the siren in their area is not working, they should call 608-758-8440.
