EAST TROY–An East Troy man is facing four counts of felony delivery of heroin, according to a criminal complaint from the Walworth County Sheriff's Office.

Jonathan Newhouse, 32, of W3420 Highway 20, East Troy, sold heroin to a confidential informant on four occasions from May 19 to July 9. Each transaction amounted to $100, and Newhouse sold a total of 1.07 grams of heroin, according to the complaint.

The complainant states that on July 11 police executed a search warrant at Newhouse's home and discovered 1.31 grams of heroin and drug paraphernalia. As a result of the search, Newhouse also is charged with felony possession of heroin with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On July 29, Newhouse was arrested on charges of sixth-offense operating while intoxicated and operating a vehicle with a detectable amount of a restricted controlled substance.

According to the report, a sheriff's deputy found heroin and used needles in the car and “the defendant appeared to be under the influence of heroin.”
